Sept. 15 is International Dot day, so with that Bashfulbookbee's "Beeloved" book of the week is The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds.
While many may use this book as an Art lesson... I think in this story you will find much more.... courtesy, facing a challenge, try and try again, never give up, do unto others....
But another great positive is the way the teacher in this book encourages creativity as well as building confidence in her student. It seems sometimes we stress to our children to strive to make the grade of 100 or an A so much, that then we create children who are afraid to take risks. Doing the best job we can is important, but we don't want them to give up with out even giving it a try~
Check it out I think you will find it's a must for every classroom.
Happy Reading...
