This week Bashful Book Bee is recommending the book Spaghetti in a Hot Dog Bun by Maria Dismondy. This book gives young readers a clear picture of the feelings associated with harsh judgment. Thanks to a caring and nurturing Grandfather, our young character Lucy, has the support to face challenges many young children deal with in today's society. Lucy's many challenges stem from her appearance (I can so relate...CURLY HAIR), her unique appetite and to cultural diversity. The art work by Kim Shaw gives added visuality to the emotions in the story. This books will provide a great tool for teachers and parents to show children scenarios of how other children may fill in these type of situations.

- A new segment in Bashful's Weekly Post will be Top 3 book recommendations from New York Times for Children, Publisher's Weekly, and Children's Book Review. I have not read but two of the nine books....Some I have no interest in...BUT I'm really going to do more research on "What Do You Do With A Problem"~
- The third segment Bashful wants to share with you is an app or technology product. This week our recommendation is for readers to check out GOOGLE DRIVE. I love Google drive... from any device I'm on, if I have a note or a picture I want to MAKE SURE AND NOT LOOSE, I just immediately upload to my Drive.
