Socks for Christmas

Socks For Christmas  by Andy Andrews

Is Bashfullbookbee's book of the week.

A few years back, I was a young mother of two.  I was just like all parents I wanted to give my children everything possible.  I wonder where that desire comes from.  As I've seen posted several times on Facebook, the older we get the shorter our Christmas wish lists get.  I wish now I had not been the kind of person who, sometimes at the serious mismanagement of our household finances, had not strived for so many material things.  I hope parents who see this blog will check out this book.  I even found one young man reading it on YouTube.  I wish young parents didn't feel that had to shower their children with Christmas gifts, as I often did.   This story is about a young man who was disgruntled and unappreciative of the Christmas gifts he got.  Like so many of us, he wished for "something" he didn't get.  However, the story goes on...the young boy realizes his Christmas was much better than another child's just down the street.  The story is full of heart, appreciation, and giving.  The young boy learns true joy comes from giving.  I hope Bashfullbookbee readers will read this sweet book this Christmas~
