With our Texas weather hinting at Spring one minute and cold as the dead of winter the next, BashfulBookBee wants to recommend a book to you this week that hints at both.

David Soman, with illustrations by Jacky Davis, has created a cute little series around an imaginative little girl who likes to call herself Ladybug Girl.  David started his series with Ladybug girl in 2008.
BUT this week Bashfulbook Bee wants to highlight his newest book,

Ladybug Girl and the Big Snow.

When Ladybug girl wakes up to a new day of snow she heads out to play, dressed as always in her ladybug wings and tutu….She discovers new sounds that the winter brings.  But it isn’t long until the snow presents lots of challenges for a little girl. After a few challenges, Ladybug girl emerges with her basset hound Bingo, to find out there is a bright side to each challenge. I love Ladybug girls’s sweet innocent adventuresome spirit.  Bashful suggests you check out David Sorman’s other Ladybug girl adventures.
